Stockton, Calif. – The Pacific Tigers (0-2, 0-2) Field Hockey team dropped its home opener Saturday, September 3 to California (3-0, 1-0) 10-0.
The Tigers fought hard all day, but could not contain the Golden Bears' offense that included four goals from Megan Shimojima. Linda MacDonald said of her team, "we had a good week of practice and made a lot of progress, but it did not transfer to the game." However, she added, "we had many good individual efforts including; Ashlee Schlesier in goal, freshman Tarah Trotter did a super job, and Emily Tregoning was great."
The Tigers head to Rhode Island for non-conference contests at Brown, at Providence and at Bryant. The games are scheduled for September 9, 12 and 13, respectively.
