STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific senior forward Andrea Swanson (Littleton, Colo.) was named to the Big West Women's Basketball All Academic Team Wednesday.

The 6-2 post is a Sports Sciences major set for graduation in May. All student-athletes on the All-Academic team must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher, and having competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.

Swanson averaged 8.1 minutes per game and appeared in 27 of the Tigers' 31 games this year. She tallied 29 points with 11 assists while picking up 45 rebounds.

She posted a season-high seven points in the Tigers win over San Jose State on November 19 and grabbed a season-best five rebounds at Southern Utah on November 23, and again on March 5 against Cal State Northridge as the Tigers clinched a berth in the Big West Tournament on the last day of the regular season.

For her career, Swanson totaled 180 points while shooting 43.5 percent from the field. She averaged 10.7 points per game as a freshman in 2007-08 before her season abruptly came to an end with an injury.
