Pacific Swimming Participates In Santa Clara International Invitational
Pacific Swimming traveled to Santa Clara, Calif. to participate in the 44th Santa Clara International Invitational. Swimming as part of the Tiger Aquatics Swim Club, the Tigers achieved best in-season times and fared well against a field of Olympians from several countries.
Participating on the women's side were Bo Cameron, Mallory McGowan, Lia Santini, Dekel Shahaf, Mary-Ella Randall and Becca Wyant. On the men's side, Nathan Leroy, Zach Zlotoff, Dai Wilson, and Roger Ward were in the pool.
Top performances included Zlotoff in the 800 free (8:48.43), ME Randall in the 50 free (27.71) , and Nathan Leroy in the 100 breast (1:07.43).
The Santa Clara Invitational is an annual event that showcases some of the best swimmers in the world as part of the United States Swimming Grand Prix series. Held at the George F. Haines International Swim Center, the Invitational meet will be one of the major competitions leading up to the USA Nationals and World Championships and in Shanghai, China later this summer.
