Kevin Oliveira was named All-American Honorable Mention. The senior scored 41 goals in 28 games, 28th in MPSF, including three goals in the NCAA championship tournament. He also tallied three goals in the MPSF Third Place game, pushing Pacific into the NCAA Tournament. He scored in all five of the Tigers' post-season games, with a goal in each MPSF tournament games, two goals against Stanford in the NCAA semifinals, and one goal in the national title game. He scored multiple goals in a game 13 times for the Tigers. He also earned a spot on the MPSF All-Academic team.
Playing on the right side of the pool in his first year at Pacific, Oliveira gave the Tigers a solid scoring threat from the perimeter. He scored 28 goals on the season and finished the year with seven multi-goal games, including three hat tricks. Oliveira led Pacific in scoring with three goals in the Tigers' close loss to Stanford and added a trio of scores in Pacific's sudden-victory win over Long Beach State.
Oliveira comes to Pacific after a two-year career at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif. He was a First Team All-America selection both seasons and led his team to the 2011 California Community College State Championship title.
Oliveira earned four letters in water polo at Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Fla., where he earned First Team All-County honors from 2007-2009.
Oliveira was a member of the Riptides Aquatic Club for seven seasons. He was also a part of the USA Junior National Team in 2008.
Oliveira was born in Miami, Fla., and is the son of Celso and Beatriz Oliveira. He has an older sister, Caroline. He lists his hobbies as going to the beach, watching movies, and cheering for the Miami Heat. Oliveira will major in communication studies.
