2010 (Junior):
Lungu appeared in 26 games for Pacific, recording 15 goals, 18 steals and 13 assists. During his first weekend of action for the Tigers, Daniel tallied four goals in three contests at the Triton Invitational. In January of 2011, Lungu was recognized as a Pacific Scholar Athlete.

Junior College (Long Beach City JC):
Lungu graduated from Long Beach City Junior College where he was a two-time All-American in water polo. Lungu earned all-conference honors in both years, and helped guide the Vikings to the state championship in 2009.

High School:
Lungu graduated from Ort Yad Lebovitz High School in Netanya, Israel, where he lettered in water polo. Lungu was voted the best player for the Israeli Water Polo Association's Southern Conference three consecutive years from 2008 to 2010.

Lungu is the son of Slava and Stella Lungu, and has four younger siblings: Michael, Taylor, Lorian, and Dolche. During his free time, he enjoys surfing, meditation, traveling, listening to music, and dancing. In his second year at Pacific, Lungu is pursuing a degree in sports medicine with a minor in business.
