Tiger Men's Water Polo Signs Eight For 2011
Stockton, Calif. - Pacific men's water polo head coach James Graham has announced the signing of eight student athletes for the 2011-12 school year.
"We are very happy to welcome this great recruiting class to the Pacific family," said Graham. "I have to give credit to my former assistant coach, Jack Curley, for his hard work and dedication to bring in such a strong 2011 recruiting class. I believe that we have a very well balanced group and I know that these players are going to make a huge impact during their time here at Pacific. I can't wait for them to join us and start our 2011 season."
Dante Cavazos (Attacker, 6-3, 180, San Jose, Calif.) - Dante is from Valley Christian High School. He earned First Team All-Central Coast Section and was selected to the CCS Senior All Star team.
Alan Dearman (Center, 6-2, 195, La Canada, Calif.) - Alan played for Crescenta Valley High School and the Rose Bowl Water Polo Club. He was a two time Junior Olympic All American and a First Team All-CIF Southern Section selection in 2010.
Casey Fleming (Defender, 6-8, 185, San Jose, Calif.) - Casey comes to Pacific from Valley Christian High School. He was a member of the USA Junior National Team in 2010 and was an All-Central Coast Section honoree in 2009 and 2010.
Sean Grady (Attacker, 6-0, 185, Boca Raton, Fla.) - The only out of state recruit in this year's recruiting class, Sean attended Boca Raton High School. He was a member of the USA Junior National Team in and also earned All-America honors in 2010.
Daniel Kemether (Attacker, 6-1, 180, Lodi, Calif.) - Daniel attended nearby Tokay High School, where he played for former Pacific standout Shane Mahoney. He earned First Team All-CIF honors and was named Most Valuable Player of the Tri City Athletic League.
Alex Obert (Utility, 6-6, 220, Loomis, Calif.) - Alex attended Del Oro High School before grey shirting at Sierra College in Rocklin, Calif. Alex was a Seventh Team All-American and a First Team All-CIF selection in 2009.
Dylan Peterson (Goalkeeper, 6-3, 185, Anaheim, Calif.) - Dylan was an All-CIF Southern Section award winner in 2010 at Katella High School. He was the winner of the "Navy Seal Hard Core Moment" by USA Water Polo as a student-athlete who overcame great odds with SEAL-like toughness to succeed in the game of water polo.
Michael Worthing (Attacker, 6-3, 200, Lafayette, Calif.) - Michael helped led Acalanes High School to the North Coast Section title in 2010. He earned Third Team All-NCS honors and was selected to the NCS Senior All Star team.
