Tunnell is in his first season with the Tigers men’s volleyball team. He graduated from Kansas University in 2011 with a Bachelors in History. 

He played Opposite for the Jayhawks men’s club team, and was the squads president. He was a student assistant coach for the Kansas women’s team for two seasons, and coached the Jayhawks women’s club team for two campaigns.   He has experience coaching volleyball camps at Kansas, Creighton University, and Wichita State University. He also coached in the Lawrence MAVS club last year. 

Before attending Kansas he attended Newman University for one year on a golf scholarhsip before transfering to Kansas. He is the older brother of Pacific’s starting setter, Pat.
