INDIAN WELLS, Calif. - The second day of the ITA Fall Championships concludes as Akram El Sallaly and Bernardo Oliveira fell in their consolation doubles match to Mitch Harper and Henrik Korsgaard of Virginia Tech, 6-1, 6-2.

In the first set the Tigers again had impressive service play making 14/17 first serves and 3/3 on second serves, but the Hokies were able to play an efficient return game to take the first set from Pacific.

In the second set, the Pacific pair once again were on their service game with a 100% second serve percentage and had the advantage in break points saved, but Virginia Tech took control of the match and finished the Tigers off, 6-2.

"Today the guys didn't put themselves in a position to have an opportunity of winning that match. It is motivating because we have seen them reach heights that are very promising and I am very proud of Akram and Bernardo for the progress they've made this fall and I look forward to a great spring season," said head coach Ryan Redondo.

With the fall season ending, the Tigers will start competition back up in their spring season beginning Saturday, January 13 visiting Fresno State before their home opener on Saturday, January 20.
