Tigers Win Six Matches On First Day At ITA Northwest Regionals

Moraga, Calif. - Five Tigers won their opening round singles matches on Friday, October 18 at the ITA Northwest Regionals, hosted by Saint Mary's.

All five of the Tigers' Round of 128 victories were in straight sets. Sophomore Sem Verbeek had a first round bye, and picked up a second round victory to move to Saturday's third round.Junior Erik Cederwall defeated Oregon's Alex Marcinkowski, while junior Denis Stolyarov (def. Dragos Puscalau) and freshman Eric Spence (def. Jeff Hawke) picked up singles wins over players from Washington.
