Scottsdale, Ariz. - Finishing its second tournament of the week, the Tiger golf team came up with an 11th place finish at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate on Sunday, Mar. 6. Individually, freshman Tyler Burnes came up with the top finish for the Tigers as the freshman finished tied for 32nd overall at +5 having posted a two-day total of 221. Burnes came up with an even-par 72 on a tough day two that saw Pacific struggle in its final go around the Desert Mountain Outlaw Course. The best score of the day came from senior Matt Lee, who rebounded from his first day woes to go one-under on day two with a 71. Lee found himself bouncing up and down around the course as the senior came up with six birdies in the round to balance out three bogies and one double-bogie.

The Tigers will take a few weeks off before resuming play in the spring season at the Goodwin 2016 in Palo Alto, Calif. The three-day tournament hosted by Stanford takes place from Mar. 24-26.
