Final Tune Up For Tigers Before Championship Week
For the final time in the 2011-12 season the Tigers will play a regular-season tournament as the Pacific golf team heads to the Winchester Classic for a final tune-up before the Big West Championships. The Tigers will take part in the small seven-team tournament hosted by UC Davis and Nevada at the Winchester Golf Course in Meadow Vista, Calif. The tournament will take place over three days beginning on Friday, April 20 before finishing on Sunday, April 22.
Pacific will join UC Davis, Nevada, Fresno State, Sacramento State, Idaho and Norther Colorado at the Winchester Golf Course which plays at 7,144 yards as a par 72 course. Teams will begin play at 12:00 pm on Friday for 18-holes before switching to 8:00 am starts for the final two weekend days of action. The Tigers are coming off of an eighth place finish at the Gary Koch Invitational two weeks ago while junior Alex Edfort finished fifth.
Live scoring will not be available for the Winchester Classic as scores will be reported at the end of each days play.
