Summer 2010-11:
With the role of Pacific's top golfer looming for his junior season, Edfort went to work over the summer, honing his game against some of the nation's best amateurs.  Playing in the 86th U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Edfort reached the round of 16 in match play before bowing out of the tournament.  Edfort was the No. 3 seed heading into head-to-head play after finishing the two round stroke play qualifying five strokes back of the first place.  Out of 155 players to begin the tournament in stroke play, Edfort finished tied for third after posting a +2, including firing one of just 19 rounds under par when he shot an impressive 68 in round two to shoot up the leaderboard.  In addition, Edfort represented the Tigers at the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship later in the summer, 33rd overall as he completed his four day event at +5, 289.

2010-11 (Sophomore):
Playing his way into the Tigers' five man tournament lineup in just his second season of action, Edfort proved to be a threat on the course every time he teed the ball up as he posted the team's third best scoring average in 2010-11 at 73.84 strokes.  Edfort showed his potential for scoring in the red as he tied for the team lead with 11 rounds of par or better while firing off five rounds in the 60s, second most among all Tigers.  His best showing came late in the season at the PING Cougar Classic when he shot a -10, 206 to finish just off the top of the leaderboard as he took home the silver medal at the tournament.

2009-10 (Freshman):
The true freshman stepped up at the end of the fall season for the Tigers, getting his first taste of collegiate golf at Poppy Hills for the St. Mary's Invitational. Edfort posted a final round even-par 72 to help the Tigers finish sixth.

High School:
Edfort finished his high school career by winning the Skyland Conference Championship by posting a 67. He also played in the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions, finishing fourth. Alex took eighth at the USGA Public Links and Junior-Am Qualifier and won the AJGA Lessing's Classic. In addition to finishing fourth at the TJGT Harbour Town Golf Links and fifth at the USGA Boys Junior Amateur Qualifier he played in the AJGA Stockton Sports Commission Junior Classic at the Reserve and took the Skyland Conference title by four strokes.
