Willard Earns NABC All-District 9 Honors

Tiger senior Sam Willard (Pierre, S.D.) was selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 9 Team when the All-District teams were announced on Wednesday, March 9.

Willard leads the team and the Big West Conference with 10.6 rebounds per game, and is 10th in the nation in that category. He is also the team leader in scoring (15.0 ppg) and blocks (22). Willard is the only Tiger in program history to record 1,000 points, 800 rebounds and 80 steals. Sam leads the conference and is seventh in the nation with 18 double-doubles on the year. He has two Big West Player of the Week awards this year, in the first two weeks of the season. It is the first NABC All-Region honor for Sam.
