WCC Announces 2019 Men's Basketball Schedule

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced its 2019 men's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday.

The race for the WCC crown will stretch over a nine-week span, featuring a newly adopted 16-game WCC men's basketball schedule. The Tigers will include home and road contests against BYU, Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, Portland, Saint Mary's and Santa Clara. Pacific will only have a single meeting with San Francisco and San Diego this season.

For the second-straight season the Tigers will open the first weekend of the new year against BYU. They are set to host the Cougars at the Alex G. Spanos Center on Thurs., Jan. 3 before rounding out the first weekend of play on the road at San Diego on Sat., Jan. 5.

In one of last season's most exciting games, the Tigers claimed a 67-66 victory against the Cougars which led to a four-game win streak and the program's best WCC start since rejoining the Conference in 2012-13.

Pacific's road game against the Toreros will be the first of three-straight road games with the Tigers playing at Gonzaga on Jan. 10 and Portland on Jan. 12.

Three of the Orange and Black's final four games in January will be played at home as the Tigers will host USF on Jan. 17, Santa Clara on Jan. 19, and will a doubleheader with the women's team on Jan. 26 against Portland.

After traveling to Loyola Marymount on Jan. 31 the Tigers return home on Feb. 2 to take on Pepperdine in another back-to-back doubleheader with the women's team.

On Feb. 7 the Tigers travel down to Moraga to face Saint Mary's before extending its trip to face BYU on Feb. 9. Following a Thursday bye, Pacific hits the road again on Feb. 16 to play at Santa Clara.

The Tigers will host the Gaels (Feb. 21), Lions (Feb. 23), and Bulldogs (Feb. 28) before closing out regular season play at Pepperdine on Mar. 2.

The West Coast Conference will celebrate its 11th year in Las Vegas when the 2019 West Coast Conference Basketball Championships return to the Orleans Arena from March 7-12. 

Fans can expect an announcement regarding the full slate of WCC broadcasts in the coming weeks.
