The Tiger men's basketball team travels to the Central Coast for a pair of Big West Conference games this weekend. Pacific takes on Cal Poly on Thursday, Feb. 7 and UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, Feb. 9. Both games are slated for a 7:00 p.m. start.
Pacific is 13-8 on the season and 7-2 in Big West play after a 77-64 win over UC Davis last Saturday. Junior Sama Taku led the Tigers in scoring with 15 points, while senior Lorenzo McCloud had 12 points and a career-high nine assists. McCloud leads the Tigers with 11.6 points per game and is fourth in the Big West with 4.1 assists per game.
Cal Poly is 9-11 on the year and 5-5 in Big West play after dropping two games last week at UC Irvine (52-45) and Long Beach State (50-48). Chris Eversley leads the Mustangs in scoring and rebounding with 15.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Pacific won this year's earlier meeting, 77-55 in Stockton on Jan. 12.
UC Santa Barbara is 7-14 on the year and 3-7 in Big West play after dropping two games last week at Long Beach State (57-55) and UC Irvine (62-60). Alan Williams leads the Gauchos in scoring and rebounding with 17.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Pacific won this year's earlier meeting, 80-62 in Stockton on Jan. 10.
