STOCKTON, Calif. - Head coach Ryan Garko announced the 2018 schedule for his Pacific Tigers baseball team Tuesday. Home and away games with Sacramento State, San Jose State, Nevada along with trips to Seattle, Cal Poly, Indiana, Stanford and Arizona State to highlight the non-conference slate before the 27-game West Coast Conference schedule.
"We continue to see a lot of progress this fall with our team and I think this schedule will be a great challenge for us," said Garko. "Our goal will be to compete in every contest, and win or lose, make all of our fans and alumni proud."
Pacific's series with Seattle continues in 2018 with the Tigers making a visit to the Emerald City to start off the season (February 16-18) before hosting Utah Valley and Sacramento State for a five-game home stand (February 23-27). The Tigers then take to Cal Poly renew their annual series with their former Big West rival (March 2-4), followed by hosting Nevada for mid-week game (March 6).
The Tigers will travel to the Midwest this season to take on Indiana (March 9-11) and then back to California for a quick matchup against San Jose State (March 13) before heading into West Coast Conference play with San Francisco (March 16-18).
The Orange and Black will host San Diego (March 23-25) and Loyola Marymount (March 29-31) for their first home conference match-ups, and then play host to Hawai'i Monday evening (April 2) in non-conference play. Pacific dives back into conference play with a road trip to Pepperdine (April 6-8) and then back north to close out the season home and away series with Sacramento State on the road (April 10).
The Tigers resume conference play again hosting Gonzaga (April 13-15) and then taking another break to head to Reno to battle with the Wolf Pack (April 17). Saint Mary's comes to Stockton (April 20-22) following the Reno road trip and then trips to Stanford (April 24) and Portland (April 27-29) and a home game with San Jose State (April 30) close out the month of April.
May starts off with the last home series of the season against Santa Clara (May 4-6) before heading to Tempe for a two-game duel with Arizona State (April 13-14).
Pacific wraps up the regular season at conference foe BYU (April 17-19). All of the Tigers contests are in preparation for the WCC Championship Series at Banner Island Ballpark which begin on May 24.
