Appeared in 44 games and started 29 at first base, second base and designated hitter. Hit .279 on the year with 17 runs batted in and 14 runs scored. Reached base at a .386 clip with 18 walks, which tied for the team lead. Posted six multi-hit games including a three-hit game against Cal State Northridge (May 26). Went 6-for-11 in the series against Northridge (May 25-27), with two doubles, four RBI and four runs scored. Collected three-straight multi-hit games against Gonzaga (March 18), Sacramento State (March 20) and Brown (March 24). Scored a pair of runs against San Jose State (April 7) after reaching base three times in five trips to the plate.
2011 (Redshirt Sophomore):
Pederson appeared in 45 contests, starting 33, including the last 31 games of the season. Pederson hit .285 on the year, compiling 41 hits with three triples. Drove in 13 runs on the season and scored 26. Walked 15 times for a .354 on base percentage. Teamed with Dustin Torchio to form a dynamic 1-2 punch at the top of the Tigers lineup that combined to hit .378 (94-for-249) in the last 31 games. Earned the start at second base on April 3 against Long Beach and began a torrid stretch in which he hit .414 with 14 runs scored and a .462 on-base percentage over the next 13 games. Started a six-game hit streak and a streak of reaching base in 14-straight games on April 3. Turned in a five-for-five day with two runs batted in at Cal on April 5 as Pacific downed the No. 13 Golden Bears. Posted eight more multi-hit games including a three-for-five day against UC Riverside on April 9 with an RBI and two runs scored. Finished the UCR series six-for-14 with four runs and three RBI. Reached base twice and drove in the Tigers’ run against No. 17 Stanford (April 12). Turned in a six-for-14 series at Cal State Northridge, going two-for-four in game one (April 21) and three-for-four with two runs scored in game two (April 22). Reached base twice with an run scored against No. 10 Cal State Fullerton on April 29. Posted a two-for-five afternoon with two runs batted in at San Jose State on May 10. Went two-for-four with a double at Washington (May 16). Doubled and drove in a run at UC Santa Barbara in the season finale on May 29.

Previous School (University of Redlands):
During his freshman season at Redlands, Tyger finished sixth on his team with a .471 batting average. In 2009, the Bulldogs recorded a 25-15 overall record. Pederson served in 10 of the Bulldogs’ 40 games, including earning three starts. In 17 at-bats, he compiled eight hits, chipped in four runs, two doubles and one triple for a total of five RBI.
A 2008 graduate of Palo Alto High School, Tyger earned a total of 10 varsity letters as a talented tri-sport athlete in football (four), basketball (two) and baseball (four). He completed his high school career with a .387 batting average and as a senior was named to the Santa Clara Valley Athletic All-League team. That season he also captained his baseball squad and finished out the season as the team’s MVP. In football Pederson excelled on the field, earning two all-league honors, as well as being named to the All-Daily News list twice and the All-Mercury News as a senior.
Tyger Pederson was born in Palo Alto, Calif., and is the son of Stu and Shelly Pederson. He has three siblings, Joc, Champ and Jacey. A Sports Pedagogy major. Pederson hopes to either play professionally or coach baseball after college.
