Who are the Tiger Dancers
The Tiger Dancers bring a tremendous amount of energy to each and every Pacific home game! Modeled after professional NBA & NFL dance teams, the Tiger Dancers perform all styles of dance, for example hip hop, jazz, straight arm pom, novelty, etc. The Dance Team learns routines to music by the Pacific Pep Band and recorded music for basketball half-time performances.
Squad members must also be familiar with cheerleading arm motions and be able to work with pom poms for a majority of the band dances and cheers. Tumbling is not required. The Tiger Dancers are also an important public relations tool for the University and the Tiger Dancers exude a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and school spirit as they promote the Pacific Athletic program
The Tiger Dancers are under the direction of first year head coach Corina Clark from Sacramento. Tiger Dancers are chosen based on dance ability, style and showmanship. Team Members must be fulltime undergraduate or graduate students and have a minimum 2.0 grade point average. The dance team gives an opportunity for members interested in choreography to showcase their material at performances. Dance team members need to purchase specified dance shoes and nylons/tights for performances. All other uniform items are provided.
