Position: Clinical Education Coordinator

The Athletic Training profession is a dream career and a passion for Chris, who is entering his sixth year at Pacific. Chris is a Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and the Clinical Education Coordinator (CEC) for Pacific's Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP). Chris' role as the CEC is to supervise the Clinical Education of the undergraduate Athletic Training students who rotate through various clinical (medical and allied healthcare) sites, one of these many sites is the Athletic Training Facilty in Pacific's Intercollegiate Athletics Department.


Working closely with local medical and allied healthcare practitioners (Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, Physicians, etc.), Chris is responsible for scheduling the Athletic Training student's clinical exposures and evaluated their clinic experiences. Previously, Chris was a dual appointed employee at Pacific working as the ATEP Clinical Coordinator and as an assistant athletic trainer who worked with all aquatic sports.


In addition to Chris' administrative duties (CEC), He teaches in the Department of Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences as a professor of the care and prevention of athletic injuries, therapeutic modalities, clinical pathology, and general pharmacology.


Chris recieved his undergraduated degree from CSU, Fresno in 2004, and then spent two years as a graduate assistant Athletic Trainer at CSU, Fullerton in 2007. His next venture lead him to Pacific. 


Chris currently resides in Modesto, CA with his partner Ashley and their daughter, Kaylah.
