RSVP today for the Amos Alonzo Stagg Award of Honor Luncheon
The annual Amos Alonzo Stagg Award
of Honor Luncheon will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. on Sat., January
28, 2012 in the DeRosa University Center Ballroom. This
year's honorees are Patty Berg-Burnett '80 (basketball and
volleyball), Morrison England '76 (football), and Gene Nyquist '52
(swimming and water polo). The recipients also will be
recognized during halftime of the Pacific Tigers men's basketball
game vs. UC Santa Barbara at 5 p.m. in the Alex G. Spanos Center
later that evening.
The Amos Alonzo Stagg Award of Merit was established in 1981 by
former Graduate Manager of Athletics Bob Breeden, Pacific Alumni
Director Kara Brewer, and Director of Athletics Elkin Isaac. The
award recognizes alumni who participated in athletics at Pacific
and who have gone on to achieve distinction in their lives through
the notable examples of integrity, dedication, idealism, and team
spirit that Mr. Stagg personified and to which Pacific is
dedicated.
The cost for the Luncheon is $40 per person and you can RSVP by
