Sept. 30, 2005

Stockton, Calif. -- University of the Pacific Director of Athletics Lynn King has announced the hiring of Jeff Bolognini as Pacific's new Supervisor of Facilites and Event Management. Bolognini takes over for Aaron Tapper, who resigned in early September to take an Assistant Athletic Director position at Cal State Fullerton. He will oversee facility scheduling in addition to duties with event management and game operations.

Bolognini has worked at Stanford University over the past two years as the Senior Event Manager and Special Assistant to the Associate Athletic Director in charge of Facilities. Bolognini was the primary facility manager for six NCAA venues over the past two years, as he oversaw baseball, lacrosse, men's soccer, men's volleyball, softball and women's soccer. Jeff also has experience working with event management and facilities for football, men's basketball, women's basketball as well as the 2004 NCAA men's water polo championship.

A Stockton native, Bolognini graduated from Cal State Stanislaus in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in business. His concentration was in finance.

"We are very pleased to have Jeff join our staff," said King. "He has the experience and knowledge to make an immediate positive impact here and he is a tremendous individual."
