Dennis Coonan Hired As Assistant Athletic Trainer

Stockton, Calif. - University of the Pacific director of athletics Lynn King has announced the hiring of Dennis Coonan to the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Coonan comes to Pacific from the University of Kansas where he earned a master of science and education degree while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Jayhawks. Prior to Kansas, Coonan was the head athletic trainer at St. Thomas High School from 2002-03 and at Hargrave High School from 2000-02. During his undergrad work at Iowa State, Coonan was the head student athletic trainer for multiple sports while earning his bachelor of science degree in exercise and sport science/athletic training.

Coonan began his duties at Pacific on August 1 where he will be the primary trainer for the women's volleyball and baseball teams, among others.
