This website is a quick reference to the many NCAA rules that apply to our boosters, former students, fans, friends, staff members, and current and prospective student-athletes of the University of the Pacific. Since all applicable situations cannot be covered on this site, we hope you will ask questions as everyone involved with Pacific athletics has a role in compliance.

The University is proud to have your loyal support and continued interest in the athletic program. As we strive for continued excellence, we must always seek the highest standard of ethical conduct. With your assistance and cooperation, we believe we can accomplish these goals.

Pacific Compliance Policy Statement

The University of the Pacific is committed and obligated to the principle of institutional control in operating its athletics program in a manner that is consistent with the letter and the spirit of NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations. Each individual involved in intercollegiate athletics is obligated to maintain competency in knowledge of the rules; to act within his or her realm of responsibility in full compliance with the governing legislation; and to report any violation of NCAA, conference, and /or institutional rules of which he or she is aware.

The commitment and obligation to operate the University's athletics programs in adherence to the principle of institutional control is both institutional and individual. Pacific is committed to maintaining the control of the athletics programs through:

  • Employment of responsible administrators, coaches, and support staff personnel;
  • Education of coaches, staff, student-athletes, and other individuals involved with athletics of their responsibilities under the rules;
  • Providing effective lines of communication between all affected constituencies; and
  • Discovering and reporting any violations of rules that occur.

    We are proud to have your support and interest in our athletics programs; however, it is important to realize that even inadvertent actions can put the University at risk and/or jeopardize the eligibility of a current student-athlete or prospect. Please be sure to contact the Compliance Staff with any questions or concerns.
